wiebenor, Hello! Unfortunately, the mod has not been updated for a long time ... Therefore, most likely it is not compatible! I have a lot of work so far, so I can't update mods yet. Steam also disabled direct mod downloads for other games, which broke my automatic mod update system.

Forgive me for saying, but this mod doesn't work with the wicked whims mod and I'd like this functionality to be able to be used concurrently to, and with, wicked whims... There's supposedly clothing mods a guy can do, to enable something similar to the nudity I expect, but I have no clue how to mod clothes in Sims 4, and it's made to sound complicated when most people give directions, or they barely tell you anything besides the fact that it's as easy as"edit form fitting clothes and you're done"... Need to at LEAST get this mod working with wicked whims enabled...

Perfectly organized rocks? In my nature? I don't think so! With this mod, chunks are given a more organic, less orderly look by randomizing their offsets, rotations, and scaling, along with a graphical underlayer of rocky debris. Rocky cliffs also get some love, with a scattering of stones along their exposed surface.

Technical details

So how does it work exactly? No one needs to read any of this, but for you nerds out there:

  • Rock chunks use a new graphic class. This class hooks into a modExtension to apply additional graphical properties.
  • Properties include a min/max for random scaling, random 360 degree rotation (normally it only randomizes in 90 degree increments), and randomized offsetting.
  • Upon loading a map, a one-time script places rocky debris (filth) underneath chunks and outer exposed cliffs. While normal filth will despawn over time, this filth is unique in that it will only despawn if it does not share a tile with a rock or stone cliff.
  • The rocky filth also uses a custom thing class to color tint itself to match whatever rock it is underneath.
  • Once the chunk is removed, it can either be manually cleaned like other filth, or it will naturally despawn in about a year.
  • Save game compatible, you can add or remove at any time. There is no performance impact other than maybe taking a few more milliseconds to load your map to populate the randomized data cache.
  • Compatible with any chunk-adding mods that use the "StoneChunks" category. If any mods do not do this, let me know and I'll manually patch in support.
  • Compatible with any texture replacements (last screenshot is using Vanilla Textures Expanded).
